Teversham FC was started in the summer of 2005. Five members of the recently defunct Cherry Hinton Sunday Reserves team decided to start a new team. They wanted to continue using there home pitch in Teversham and came up with the name Teversham Hotspurs. The team applied to the Tucker Gardner league and were accpeted. Teversham Hotspurs were to start their life in the newly formed second division. The made up mainly of players from the old team spent the summer bringing in some new faces and forming a squad for the 2005/6 season.
The season started with a few friendlies with mixed results but the team was beginning to take shape. The season proper started will with a win in the first game. This winning trend was to continue for the rest of the season. The only games Teversham didn't win were a draw and two cup games (a sign of things to come). In February Teversham were awarded team of the month and also won the second division quite comprehensively.
In the end of season awards Sam Ferguson was awarded top Goalscorer, Lewis MacDonald players' player and Jamie Jackson the Manager's award.Teversham started their second season in division one having been promoted as champions. The team remained mainly the same although the three award winners from last season had moved away for various reasons. A poor start to the season and some disagreements lead to a change in the way the team worked off the pitch. This seemed to re-envigourate the side and despite losing cup games again the team finished in third. Top scorer was Elvis Ibraimi, players' player was Mark Bentley and the Manager's award went to Gary Butcher
The summer of 2007 was one of change for Teversham Hotspurs. The team decided to change leagues and a new secretary was brought in. The team also dropped 'Hotspurs' from their name and became Teversham FC. The 2007/8 season started with Teversham in division 4A of the Halls of Cambridge Sunday league.
